Hero of French Train Attack Stabbed at California Bar

Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, famous for heroically known for intervening in attack on a Paris-bound train, was stabbed early this morning at a northern California bar according to reports from USA Today.

The attack occurred around 1:00 am this morning following a verbal dispute when Stone was stabbed multiple times in the upper torso region. Police reports indicate he was brought to a nearby hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

In a news release the Sacramento deputy police chief Ken Bernard stated “It is believed that Stone was out with a group of friends when a physical altercation led to him being stabbed multiple times in his upper body.
Immediately after the assault the assailants fled the scene. Felony Assault Detectives were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.” Stone is reported to stable condition.

The police chief went on to stress that the attack “is believed to be a nightlife related incident and was not a terrorist related incident, nor is it related to what happened in France a few months ago.”

The attackers described as two Asian males were said to have fled in a car following the incident.
